The ESWC organisation has reversed its decision to disqualify Mojawi Gaming from the event, which sees FireGamers through to the quarter-finals. The tournament officials had initially ruled that Mojawi Gaming would be disqualified from the event after leaving the server half way through their last group encounter with FireGamers. Such a decision would put FG below H2k in Group C, but on the basis of fairplay, the two teams would play against each other in overtime to decide who would enter the knock-out stages. However, the ESWC has now backtracked as Mojawi Gaming will no longer be disqualified from the competition, which sees FireGamers finish in second place. We have interviewed members of H2k Gaming and FireGamers, so stay tuned to our website for their reactions on this matter. |
